چکیده

Fuzzy log& can be used advantageously in autonomous orbital operations that require the capability of handling imprecise measurements from sensors. Several applications are under way at the Software Technology Laboratory, NASA / Johnson Space Center to investigate fuzzy logic approaches and develop guidance and control algorithms for autonomous orbital operations. Translational as well as rotational control of a spacecraft have been demonstrated using space shuttle simulations. An approach to a camera tracking system has been developed to support proximity operations and traffic management around space station Freedom. Pattern recognition and object identification algorithms currently under development will become part of this camera system at an appropriate level in the future. A concept to control environment and life support systems for large lunar-based crew quarters is also under development. Investigations in the area of reinforcement learning, utilizing neural networks combined with a fuzzy logic controller, are planned as a joint project with Ames Research Center.

AN ALGEBRAIC STRUCTURE FOR INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY LOGIC

In this paper we extend the notion of  degrees of membership and non-membership of intuitionistic fuzzy sets to lattices and  introduce a residuated lattice with appropriate operations to serve as semantics of intuitionistic fuzzy logic. It would be a step forward to find an algebraic counterpart for intuitionistic fuzzy logic. We give the main properties of the operations defined and prove som...

A Study of Autonomous Docking with an AUV Using Intelligent Controls

Autonomous docking using underwater vehicles will play an important role in long-term underwater explorations and surveys. The autonomous docking mission for an autonomous underwater vehicle at a stationary platform involves a vehicle and a platform matching both position, orientation and velocity. The docking missions therefore require intelligent control systems for precise and soft operation...

A Nonholonomic Mobile Robot Navigation in Uncertain Environments Based on Behavior Control

This paper presents a method for navigating a nonholonomic autonomous mobile robot in a workshop based on a global vision system. In order to deal with uncertainty in the environment, a fuzzy logic strategy is used to represent mobile robot navigation behavior. The method is implemented on a nonholonomic mobile robot in IRP in Germany, and some experimental operations are performed to demonstra...

Autonomous Parallel Parking of a Car Based on Parking Space Detection and Fuzzy Controller

This paper develops an automatic parking algorithm based on a fuzzy logic controller with the vehicle pose for the input and the steering angle for the output. In this way some feasible reference trajectory path have been introduced according to geometric and kinematic constraints and nonholonomic constraints to simulate motion path of car. Also a novel method is used for parking space detec...
